A: Day rates are $22. Weanlings at side are an additional $3. You are billed once a month, generally bills are sent out the first week of the next successive month.
A: Yes, our foaling fee is $300.
A: Our farm has an arrangement with Dr. James Slaughter, DVM. Dr. Slaughter is not employed by the farm and bills our clients independently of our billing system. From time to time worming will be performed by farm staff and billed with your monthly farm statement.
A: If your mare is being bred to a local stallion, we will transport the mare to the stallion in a farm owned horse van with experienced grooms. The truck is on site 24/7 and is only used for the transportation of horses.
A: We work closely with our local feed supplier, Woodford Feed in utilizing the best mix balanced for our pastures. This formulation was prepared after analysis by Woodford's in house nutritionist. We use locally produced hay
A: The old saying is "No foot, no horse". And in many cases a healthy horse starts with good feet. Your mare will receive monthly farrier services and you will be billed on your statement from us. We charge $20 for a trim, and if shoes are required they are $65 per pair.
Q: If something is wrong with my horse or it's foal who takes care of them?
A: If there is an injury or a problem during the birth process, your horse is within 15 minutes of two of the best equine hospitals in the world. Both Rood and Riddle and Hagyard, Davidson, McGee are a short van ride from our farm.
Q: What other services does your farm provide?
A: We do sales preparation for weanlings, yearlings and mares. We do not provide breaking or starting services for yearlings or two year olds. We have limited layup space, please contact the farm manager for further information regarding layups.
Our fees and services are subject to change without prior notice. We ask that you provide prior to the arrival of a mare to be foaled, a foaling history if available. We also can assist you in the best possible selection of sires for your mare. If you race or sell your mare's progeny, we work with a number of prominent sales consignors, and public stable trainers throughout the United States, the UK and Austrailia.
